Hi, I finished now my Jtm, wonderful sound, really cool components, but I have a question about the bypass, I think the resistor on the switch don't mute completely the amp, can I remove it? Ii's a mod? I don't find it in others scheme.
Thank you

R107 by tubetown scheme, the 47K resistor on standby switch.

Hi,
that is right. It is NOT a mute but a stand-by and the resistor in parallel to the switch is a protection for the rectifier tube (less stress for the rectifier tube when turning on the amp again). If you want a real mute, than you must remove the resistor.
Best regards, Dirk

Thank you Dirk, I have 2 1987 RI and this jtm45 is a very very cool amp!

@Dirk: the German description of th JTM45 mentions this, but the English does not. Have a look at the English page, and you'll see what's wrong with it.
