Hi
Has anyone tried using TT 5e3 power transformer, 150ma 640vct, with 6l6gc tubes in fixed bias?
Will it survive?
I will use a gz34. The TT 5e3 pt is cheaper than hammond 290dex. I'd like to build a 5f6a which can use 6v6 or 6l6. The Jtm45 pt is usually only rated at 150ma with 690vct so maybe it will be a low power bassman??

... but it doesn't have a bias tap

Yes but I will just take the bias from 320vac instead.
The TT 5e3 6l6 PT is rated 640vct 300ma which seem to be more than I need. Good price though. I will ask TT directly about this.

Ok
Will the 5e3 300ma 6l6 pt work?
If I make it fit on the chassis and take bias from 320vac tap.

The 5E3 HP Powertransformer will do the job.
