Hello,
I just acquired a Vox V125 amp from the early '80. It seems all looks original including the tubes and caps. i would like to recap and retube the amp to make sure all is good. Could you give some suggestions which version of the tubes I need? And where I can find the right 35mm axial caps? Nowadays, caps seem to have smaller diameter.
I do like JJ tubes, but there is to much choise ;D Which versions woul be best for classic rock, Vox tones?
I included the schematic for reference.
It contains:
2x ECC83 (v1, v3)
1x ECC82 (v2, graphic eq)
1x ECC81 (v4, phase inverter)
4x, EL34
4x, 200uF 350V 35mm axial
2x, 32uF 450V 35mm axial

Hi Dennis,
simultaneously with the change of C30, C31, C32, C33 you should solder a resistor 100KOhm 2W parallel to each capacitor (see pic). It keeps the voltages for each capacitor at the same level.
Cheers
