Security

Tube amps contain life-threatening voltage! Only people with
sufficient knowledge and experience should fit the VoCo to an
amp. Anything else is grossly negligent!  ;)

Thanks grandpa, but where can I learn then?
Btw I built the Deluxe Reverb myself and I'm still alive  ;)

Hi Guile,
Take a look at Merlin Blencowe or Morgan Jones, both wrote great books.

Hi Guile,

the link in the second thread should provide you with the desired info.

You could also google the "London Power scaling from Kevin o`Connor" for more info.
And the above mentioned books for shure!

Thanks, but I got no time to read books, gotta play my guitar!

Does the 'out' coming from the pcb goes to pin 4 of one of the two 6L6 power tubes?

I just need to know where the three wires go. Let me worry about safety and being knowledgeable.
Thanks

Hello,

"out" is connected to both screen grids of the power tubes (instead of the one in the schematic https://www.tube-town.net/cms/?DIY/Amp-Tools/VoCo_Variable_Voltage_Control). Complicated, isn't id?

Can someone explain where the B+ goes? Do I simply need to tap it of off B+?

Btw, the layout on this page is so small, I can't read it clearly: https://www.tube-town.net/cms/?DIY/Amp-Tools/VoCo_Variable_Voltage_Control

Zitat
The output of the power tubes can be controlled by the voltage on the screen (G2). For this purpose, the TT-VoCo is insterted in the screen power supply.
Further questions?
The given schematic is an example how the VoCo can be used, in thr particular case in the TT66.
The page provides sufficient info about the way the VoCo works.
Zitat
If, after reading this documentation, it is not clear how the VoCo is installed and used, it indicates a level of knowledge insufficient to safely and correctly install the VoCo in an amplifier. In this case, we strongly recommend letting an experienced technician do it.

Sorry, but I wonder how you managed to build your Deluxe Reverb, if you ask such questions  ???
You'd better go to a professional technician. Just my 2 cents.

Proof that tube-amplifiers are not rocket-science. It's the crudest form of electronics possible; just follow the layout and pull the switch.
Every second spent fiddling in amplifiers is time lost not making music!
Just my 2 cents
Over and out.

That is your point of view and it is of course OK. But better get someone doing the job for you if you want to keep on playing guitar on earth and not somewhere else.

It is not only follow the layout and pull the switch as you can see.

Best regards, Dirk
